THE O’KEEFFE STORY O’Keeffe was established in 2010 as the lovechild of Irish heritage and Italian craftsmanship. Inspired by 1920s and 1950s footwear, O’Keeffe aimed to create new shoes with a worn-in, hand-me-down feel. To achieve this, we used a patent Goodyear construction to create solid boots and polished brogues. Ten years later, we changed course, trading sturdiness for lightness. Lines become simpler, more minimal, and every element stripped back to its functional essentials. O’Keeffe is now a brand defined by essentiality. OUR SHOES We draw inspiration from the geometrical shapes of the Bauhaus school, the clean lines of the Modernist Movement, and the rigorous architecture of Le Corbusier. We separate and combine the different components of each shoe design with a new simplicity in mind. Our leather is tanned to remain soft and natural, then polished by hand with wool to create smooth, pleasant to touch surfaces. Our colour palette leans towards easy-to-wear earthy browns, light beiges, neutral greys and blues.
